A series of business advice surgeries held in Bargoed, Rhymney and New Tredegar has been hailed a success after more than 40 businesses and potential start-ups visited.
The surgeries were organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Economic Development Team and gave businesses the chance to discuss their eligibility for grant funding.
Cllr Ron Davies, cabinet member for regeneration and planning said: “The Economic Development Team were on hand to give support to businesses in their application process. These workshops were about bringing information directly to the business sector, many of whom are finding the current economic climate difficult.
“Our role is to ignite their appetite to apply for grants and this was a simple but effective solution.”
With the assistance of the Bargoed and New Tredegar Community First Partnerships and Rhymney Partnership, the business surgeries took place at Young @ Heart in Bargoed, High Street in Rhymney and the White Rose Centre in New Tredegar.
