Students and staff at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys campus helped to raise over £400 for children affected by serious illness this week.
The charity event organised by the Independent Living Skills (ILS) department featured a raffle, brick-a-brac sale and fancy dress to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.
ILS Tutor Victoria English said: “We organised this event in memory of our colleagues’ son and brother who was so wonderfully looked after during his illness at the hospital.
“We’re thrilled to have raised just over £400 to support the great work of GOSH. It was a fantastic day, thank you to everyone who came along and made a donation.”
