Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has congratulated local schoolchildren for their efforts in collecting Tesco vouchers for the schools.

Mr David presented gifts to pupils from a total of ten schools in recognition of the work they had done in collecting vouchers for school computers. He recently visited stores in Caerphilly town centre, Ystrad Mynach and the Caerphilly Crossways store to make the presentations.

He said: “It was really good that Tesco have taken this initiative. It demonstrates that Tesco takes its social responsibility very seriously and tries to be a company with stores at the heart of the community.

“As always, it was great to be with young people and they were very pleased with their gifts and the ‘light refreshments’ they received in the Tesco stores.”
