A man was robbed at knifepoint by two teens as he walked down a lane near Caerphilly Rugby Club.
Gwent Police is appealing for information about the robbery which happened in the lane to the rear of Pontygwindy Road, Caerphilly, at 9pm on Friday March 11.
The victim was walking near to the entrance of Caerphilly Rugby Club when he was approached by two males, believed to be in their late teens. After asking for the time, one of them threatened him with a knife while the other removed his watch.
The two teens, both wearing jeans, trainers and light coloured hooded tops, made off in the direction of Home Bargains in the Pontygwindy Road area. The victim was left shaken but unharmed.
Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area on Friday evening or anyone who may have information to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A very disturbing crime, I hope these violent criminals are caught quickly. Am I alone in thinking that this may have something to do with the closure of our police station and our town being now being policed remotely from Blackwood?
