Police authority role for former Caerphilly County Borough Council man

The former head of public protection at Caerphilly County Borough Council is taking a role overseeing Gwent Police.
Stephen Delahaye has joined Gwent Police Authority as an independent member.
The authority is made up of councillors and independent people to set budgets and scrutinise police performance.
Mr Delahaye held his public protection role at Caerphilly County Borough Council until 2009.
He was also chairman of the Safer Caerphilly County Borough Community Safety Partnership.
He will sit on the authority’s service delivery committee and its strategic planning and performance committees.
Cilla Davies, chairwoman of Gwent Police Authority, said: “We are sure that with his wealth of skills and experience, Mr Delahaye will make a valuable contribution to our organisation.”
