Environment Agency Wales are advising people to be alert for disruption from possible localised surface water flooding across Wales, particularly South Wales, later today and tomorrow (Wednesday November 9 and Thursday November 10).
The Met Office has forecast outbreaks of heavy rain spreading from the south west throughout Wednesday and Thursday.
Some of the rain will be locally very heavy, with particularly heavy bursts across parts of south and east Wales this afternoon and again early tomorrow morning through to midday, perhaps leading to difficult travel conditions during the morning rush-hour.
The heavier rain may also cause fast responding rivers to rise, leading to some flood alerts being issued .
Drainage blockages caused by falling leaves and the already saturated ground will contribute to the risk of surface water flooding.
The Agency is advising people to listen to local weather and traffic reports and updates on the radio or TV, or if able to, view the latest information on the Met Office website.
Care should also be taken as driving conditions may be hazardous, and people should listen to traffic reports for advice and for any disruption locally.
