Father Christmas was joined by more than 600 visitors on the weekend as he switched on Caerphilly town’s lights.
Visitors to the event, organised by Caerphilly Town Council, were abuzz with excitement as they waited for the man in red to appear.
As his sleigh arrived, the noise reached deafening levels before Father Christmas handed out sweets to the crowd.
Before the big moment though, the crowds were entertained with music from pupils from the Twyn School, Plas Y Felin and Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg.

On Saturday December 3, Father Christmas will be heading to Blackwood for its Christmas light switch on 4pm.
Great community event hosted by the regular Plaid Cymru Town Councillors only. Super turn out from the schools children and the teachers who marshalled over 150 singers on the night.
The weather made it a dry evening and Santa was not hindered by the untimely snow fall experienced last year.
Big thank you to all the parents, grandparents and supporters of the event for the long run into Christmas.
And please do all turn out for the next event the Medieval Market 10th and 11th December.
