News | Richard Gurner | Published: 09:37, Sunday December 4th, 2011.

Three people were injured after a car crashed into a house.

The two car crash, which also damaged a gas pipe, happened at 8.40pm Friday in Shingrig Road, Nelson.

An 18-year-old woman pedestrian was injured and taken to hospital.

A 17-year-old male driver was also hurt along with a 50-year-old woman, aged 50, travelling in the other vehicle.

Another woman travelling in the same car as the 50-year-old escaped injury.

Police said injuries suffered by the three were not life threatening.

The cars were a Grand Cherokee jeep and a Megane.

Workers from Wales and West Utilities attended the scene to repair the damaged gas pipe, stop the gas leak, and restore supply to the house and a neighbouring property.

Police have appealed for witnesses to call 101 or 01633 838111
