Children and families flock to lantern workshop for River of Light

People of all ages flocked to Caerphilly Leisure centre last weekend to make their own special lantern ready for this year’s River of Light Parade.

The first set of free lantern-making workshops took place on Saturday and Sunday when more than 240 colourful lanterns were created in preparation for the popular festive parade due to take place Thursday December 22.

This year’s theme – ‘Magic and Wizardry’ – proved to be really popular making Saturday and Sunday’s workshops extremely busy. This weekend sees the second set of workshops take place at Caerphilly Leisure Centre from 10am until 5pm on both days.
