Christmas waste collection dates for Caerphilly County Borough 2012

Caerphilly County Borough Council has published its Christmas rubbish and recycling collection dates for 2012.

Changes to collection days are as follows:

  • 24 December – collection as normal
  • 25 December – (No collection) – will be 27 December
  • 26 December – (No collection) – will be 28 December
  • 27 December – collection will be 29 December
  • 28 December – collection will be 30 December
  • 31 December – collection as normal
  • 1 January – (No collection) – will be 2 January
  • 2 January – collection will be 3 January
  • 3 January – collection will be 4 January
  • 4 January – collection will be 5 January
  • 6 January – collection will be No collections
  • 7 January – collection as normal

The council would like to reminded residents to put bins, boxes and caddies out before 6am on the scheduled collection day. Additional waste (up to two bags) will be accepted over the holiday period.

Wrapping paper (non-foil based) and small amounts of cardboard can be placed in residents’ recycling bin, larger amounts of cardboard can be deposited at Household Waste Recycling Centres. Christmas trees can also be recycled at these sites.

Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Normal opening times for all other days are 9am until 4.30pm.
