Gwent Police arrested 22 people in a recent one-day operation of search warrant raids across Caerphilly County Borough.
During the day, numerous arrests were made including:
- Four arrests for burglary
- Four arrests for criminal damage
- Three arrests for theft
- Two arrests for breach of bail
- Two arrests for Section 39 Assault (Common Assault)
- Two arrests for court warrants
- One arrest for breach of a probation order
- One arrest for Actual Bodily Harm
- One arrest for theft from a motor vehicle
- One arrest for possession with intent to supply
- One arrest for possession of a bladed article
Three Fixed Penalty Notices were also issued for road traffic offences, such as driving while using a mobile phone.
Detective Sergeant Tyrone Nash, said: “We made a number of arrests during our one-day operation, which forms part of our continued action to target the minority of criminals who are operating within the county borough.
“We are committed to targeting offenders and reinforcing the message that anyone found to be taking part in criminal activity will face consequences. These operations are useful not only to deal with offenders, but also to gather intelligence and information which we can use to inform future activity.”
