Two men are in a critical condition at the burns unit at Morriston Hospital in Swansea for treatment after an explosion at a house in Caerphilly town.
South Wales Fire and Rescue is currently investigating the cause of the blaze with Gwent Police. The house’s windows were blown out by the force of the explosion.
The two men, aged 19 and 22, were taken from the house in Heol Cae Maen to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff before being transferred to Swansea.
A spokesman for South Wales Ambulance Service said the two had serious burns. A 56-year-old woman was also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The fire happened at 10.30pm on Wednesday.
