Caerphilly County Borough’s Victims’ Champion has helped more than 100 families this year who have fallen victim to antisocial behaviour.

Lana Harrison has been helping families since her appointment in February this year by providing practical advice on issues such as crime prevention and supporting victims’ with court proceedings.

As part of her role, Lana has also been working with control room operators at Gwent Police to provide further training on how to handle calls from victims and witnesses of antisocial behaviour in addition to victims of crime.

Councillor Lyn Ackerman, cabinet member for the environment, said: “Lana has made a tremendously positive impact in the short time she has been in post, and has provided another tool in our armoury for tackling antisocial behaviour in Caerphilly County Borough.

Lana would like to hear from people interested in volunteering to help provide support to victims and witnesses of antisocial behaviour.
