News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:00, Tuesday October 26th, 2010.

A Caerphilly-based recruitment agency is launching an online video CV service.

Deliverance Recruitment and Consultancy is providing the free platform for candidates in partnership with Innovate CV which designed and created the the online video CV platform.

People looking for a job will be able to use the online video CVs as well as the traditional written CV.

Katrina Poole, managing director of Deliverance Recruitment, said: “We are delighted to be pioneering this new initiative in the recruitment industry in south Wales.

“As a recruitment agency we understand the time constraints employers face when appointing new members of staff. This new innovate concept enables employers to see a candidate’s presentation skills and personality without meeting them, in a way not possible with traditional CVs.”

The straight forward process allows candidate to upload a written CV in addition to a video which can be recorded via a web camera on a PC or laptop.

Daniel Lyons, creator of Innovate CV, said: “We decided to launch Innovate CV after speaking to recruitment agencies, employers and candidates who all felt that recruitment process has remained static for too many years.

“Innovate CV aims to bring creativity and innovation to the recruitment industry turning the world of the traditional CV on its head. We are delighted to be strategically working in partnership with Deliverance Recruitment to further introduce the technology into the Welsh marketplace.”
