Rubbish and recycling collections over Christmas

Caerphilly County Borough Council has issued the following statement about rubbish and recycling collections over the Christmas period

Refuse and Recycling collections over Christmas
“Weather permitting the council’s refuse and recycling crews will be working as normal over the Christmas period.

“As there are still significant numbers of properties where we have not been able to make waste collections over the last week due the inclement weather, we will have vehicles collecting in all areas Monday to Friday next week irrespective of your normal collection week. Please leave all bins at your normal collection points.

“Residents are advised to place all their waste (refuse, recycling and food waste) out on what would be their normal collection day for refuse prior to 6am and we will collect everything together. For example if your refuse is due on Tuesday and your recycling on Thursday please put all your bins out on the Tuesday for collection before 6am.

“Our civic amenity sites are open 9am till 4.30pm every day with the exceptions of Christmas Day and New Years Day.”

Please congratulate the hard working staff who collected the refuse and recycling. Many of our neighbourhood have commented on the determination and great attitude of the people involved. Well done.
