Staff from Caerphilly County Borough Council have been busy fundraising for this year’s Sport Relief.

Kieran Gingell and James Hurley, from Corporate Finance department, are doing an eight-hour exercise bike challenge on Friday March 23 at the council’s Penallta House headquarters.

Sporty staff also took part in a Sport Relief Netball Tournament on Thursday at St Cenydd Leisure Centre.

Members of the public are set to have their go with the Caerphilly Castle Sport Relief Mile.

The town is set to host the charity event on Sunday March 25 at Caerphilly Castle and needs local people to come together and show their support by entering now.

As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives – so it’s time to dust off those trainers and enter now.

Whether you commit to doing the one, three or six miles – as a family team, with friends or against the clock – join in with the whole community and raise money for an excellent cause, while enjoying a fun filled day.
