Bedwas engineering firm gets ready for big year with global trade federation membership

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 09:00, Wednesday April 27th, 2011.

Eriez Magnetics Europe, based in Bedwas, has successfully become members of the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) – an international trade federation.

Carlton Hicks, the company’s sales executive, said: “This is just the start of a big year in recycling for Eriez. Along with the already successful product launches of the last few months we have more exciting new products to be launched in the upcoming months. The addition of the new BIR membership will help with all future product releases as we will be able to ensure we meet the requirements of the dynamically changing recycling industry.”

The BIR is a non-profit organisation founded in 1948. It was the first federation to support the interests of the recycling industry on an international scale and today represents over 750 member companies from the private sector and 40 national associations in more than 70 countries. Together, these companies form the largest international recycling federation.

Eriez, which makes recycling sorting equipment, has said that being a member of the BIR will bring the company many benefits and will allow it to share the experiences and knowledge of other members.

In the last six months Eriez has improved their recycling department with the addition of a dedicated recycling sales and service team and three new product launches.
