Search engine behemoth Google is to help businesses in Caerphilly County Borough get online with a free advice scheme.

The first Google Juice Bar to be held in the Valleys area takes place in the Caerphilly County Borough on April 12 and this will be closely followed by Google Juice Bar events across the valleys in Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Torfaen.

The free one-to-one sessions for businesses will focus on how to boost traffic to websites and increase online trading.

The Bisnet team at Caerphilly County Borough Council have been working in partnership with the local authorities and Google, to enable businesses across the SE Wales Valleys area to have free help and advice to get their businesses on-line.

The first Juice Bar will be delivered at Tredomen Business and Technology Centre, Hengoed, on April 12 between 10am and 2pm.

A team of local Google experts will be on hand to give one-to-one advice about getting or growing business online.

The sessions are interactive and informal to give businesses the opportunity to ask as many questions as they want in a friendly and supportive environment.

Jan Bennett, business enterprise support manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the local authorities in the SE Wales Valleys area to deliver the Google Juice Bars to our businesses.

“The first of the Google Juice Bars will be held in Caerphilly County Borough on April 12 and further juice bars will be held in the rest of the authority areas during May.”
