Last chance to register your vote for council elections 2012

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 10:00, Thursday April 19th, 2012.

Residents in Caerphilly County Borough have until 5pm on Wednesday April 25 to register for a proxy vote in May’s local election.

People unable to attend a polling station to place a vote can apply for a proxy vote which enables the elector to appoint another person to vote on their behalf at the polling station.

To be eligible for a proxy vote, you must state the reason why you are unable to attend the polling station. This may be because of disability, ill health, holiday, work or you have recently moved home.

The deadline to register for Proxy Vote is 5pm Wednesday April 25. To obtain an application form you need to contact the Electoral Register Officer, this can be done by phone or online.

For an application form or more information contact Electoral Services on 01443 864203 or visit www.caerphilly.gov.uk
