Environment Agency Wales is continuing to warn people to remain alert for flooding as further heavy rain is forecast for Tuesday.
Another band of severe rainfall is due to reach the whole of South Wales and parts of Mid Wales from this evening, moving northwards through to the middle of tomorrow (Tuesday May 1).
It has warned that as the ground is already wet, rivers will rise in response to further rain, and there is a risk that further rain may lead to Flood Alerts and Warnings being issued.
Recent stormy conditions and strong winds have also caused debris to fall from trees and plants which may increase the risk of localised flooding from blocked drains, small streams and ditches.
Chris Mills, director at Environment Agency Wales said: “Given the rainfall we’ve already seen over the last few days, there is a risk that rivers will rise quickly tomorrow.
“We are monitoring river levels closely and officers are out and about removing blockages and checking that flood defences are in good working order.
“We will issue flood alerts and flood warnings if necessary and people are advised to be alert and take precautions.”
Driving conditions may be hazardous and people are advised to take care while driving, and listen to weather and traffic reports for any localised disruption.
