Trevor Elias has been missing for almost a fortnight from his Abertridwr home

Gwent Police is re-appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of a missing 77-year-old man from Abertridwr.

Trevor Elias has been missing for a month since he was last seen on Saturday April 7.

Mr Elias, who is well-known in the local community, is described as being 6ft tall, of very thin build, and has brown short hair. He wears glasses.

Inspector Paul Staniforth, from Caerphilly Local Policing Unit said: “We are continuing to conduct extensive enquiries to find Trevor.

“We are concerned for Trevor’s welfare because of his age and the length of time he has been missing.

“We continue to work closely with the community, who have been particularly supportive and active in providing assistance in locating Trevor.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to Trevor’s whereabouts to contact the police on 101.”

Residents of Abertridwr have been busy helping police by searching the surrounding areas as well as placing posters up.

Since Mr Elias’ disappearance, the community has rallied together with a candlelit vigil and more recently wearing yellow ribbons for him.
