A 12-year-old singer has gone through to the finals of a schools talent contest.
St Cenydd Comprehensive School’s Special Resource Base was the latest school to take part in the Britain’s Got Special Talent contest, organised by charity Follow Your Dreams.
Jack Casey Hughes is the Caerphilly winner and goes through to the finals of Britain’s Got Special Talent. Jack, who sang Queens ‘We Will Rock You’, stunned the judges with his vocal ability and has landed himself a spot in the final.
South Wales Charity Follow Your Dreams has organised the competition for youngsters with learning disabilities and the winner will get the opportunity to record at Rockfield studios in Monmouth, where Queen recorded their all-time great Bohemian Rhapsody.
Sue Sugarman, the charity’s chief executive, said: “The pupils were fantastic, they enjoyed every minute and we will do everything possible to make all their ‘Dreams’ come true.
“It is always a pleasure to work with St Cenydd and if anyone else would like to take part in this national event or support the charity I would love to hear from them.”
