Gwent Police has said it will up its patrols in parks in Caerphilly town this summer.
Dafydd Williams, Morgan Jones and Virginia Park will be patrolled more in an effort to stamp out antisocial behaviour and underage drinking as part of Operation Park Safe.
People deemed to be acting in an antisocial manner by police will have their details taken down.
In Caerphilly County Borough, a four-strikes rule operates meaning anyone who has been stopped by police four times for antisocial behaviour will probably be subject to a court-imposed ASBO.
Since Operation Park Safe began last month, more than 50 patrols have been made with only a few minor issues.
On the weekend of May 12 and May 13, 60 youths were stopped and 38 items of alcohol were seized from on Mill Road, Nantgarw Road and Virginia View.
Sergeant Andy Down, of the Caerphilly Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Your policing team at Caerphilly want everyone enjoy their parks without the fear of disturbance or unsightly litter left behind by other inconsiderate park users.
“With the longer daylight hours we are already seeing an increase in the amount of debris left behind for park staff to collect and this gives a poor impression to visitors.
“We are stepping-up attention to our parks throughout the summer months in order to prevent anti-social behaviour, including drinking in a designated no alcohol zones and will report uncooperative offenders when we find them.”
About time the Local Authority took a hard line on offlicences that supply booze to these youngsters,I remember when Caerphilly only had one offlicence on the Picadilly Square, no anti social behaviour caused by booze in those days because the Horrel family who ran the business knew most of the kids and had pride in their business, unlike todays offlicence operators who are too profit orientated.
