A shop assistant was struck with a metal bar during a robbery on a Spar shop in Fleur-De-Lys.
The robbery happened at the Spar in High Street, Fleur-De-Lys, at 4.20pm on Monday June 4 with the till taken during the raid.
The shop worker, a 26-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital after suffering a head injury. He was later discharged from hospital.
Two men, a 27-year-old from New Tredegar and a 22-year-old from Blackwood, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They are both in custody helping police with their enquiries.
