Gwent Police Authority Chair Cilla Davies said: “The survey is a good opportunity for the public to directly influence decisions made about policing in Gwent, and I urge as many people as possible to take part.
“We are facing challenging times financially and this will affect the way our resources are distributed, so it is important that residents let us know which areas they think we need to focus on, and where our priorities should lie.
“We will continue to press for the best possible Policing services irrespective of our funding situation. Our goal, ahead of a Police and Crime Commissioner assuming the role of the Police authority in governing the police is to leave a lasting legacy of a Policing Force which offers the public excellent service and value for money.
“To help us achieve this we need the public to engage with us and to comment on the draft priorities so that we consider their responses when drawing up our proposals for policing in 2013/14.”
