Tenovus charity shop manager thanks Caerphilly town for its support

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 12:00, Tuesday July 17th, 2012.

The manager of Caerphilly town’s Tenovus shop has thanked the town for its efforts in supporting the charity.

Jenni West, manager of the Cardiff Road shop, said: “Our aim is clear – to help anyone facing cancer, whether themselves or someone they love. We can do this across the whole of Wales now, and it’s the support of communities like Caerphilly which empower us to do this.

“We offer support every day of the week via our Freephone Cancer Support Line a call on 0808-808 1010, with support on welfare rights advice if you’re affected by cancer or we offer counselling and support.

“We are not government funded – it’s the kindness of those who give to our shops that enable us provide the support we do. Of course, we always need more support to reach those who need us – volunteers, donations (clothes) – all support adds up to life-changing differences for cancer patients and their families.

“If you have even just a few hours to spare in the week, we are in need of volunteers to help in our shop. If you are interested please call me on the number below.

“Thank you for your time and a big, big thank you to everyone in Caerphilly who helps us out.

“I can be reached at the store during business hours on 02920 889 334 or at the shop itself.”

Tenovus are also advertising for people to post prolific volumes of junk begging bags through letterboxes.
