Parc Cwm Darran near Deri and Cwmcarn Forest have been awarded Green Flags for their quality.
The new Green Flags, the first in the county borough to go to country parks, add to those already at Morgan Jones Park in Caerphilly, Waunfawr Park in Crosskeys and Nelson Wern Park.
Representatives from the council will receive the awards from John Griffiths AM, Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development at the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd on July 23.
Cllr Ken James, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s cabinet member for regeneration, planning and sustainable development, said: “We are delighted that Parc Cwm Darran and Cwmcarn Forest are the latest attractions to receive this prestigious green award. This helps highlight the fantastic open spaces we have here in the county borough. We now look forward to receiving the honour at this year’s Royal Welsh.”
