Police appeal over burglaries in Hengoed, Rhymney and Caerphilly

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 13:00, Friday July 20th, 2012.

Gwent Police is appealing for information on three burglaries that occurred in Caerphilly County Borough last week.

In Hengoed, sometime over the weekend of July 14 and 15, a recently built house on the Redrow Housing Site, Penallta, was broken into and flat packed kitchen units were stolen. Officers believe suspects may have been seen carrying these very large items on Pottery Lane.

In Caerphilly, a burglary occurred at a flat in Snowden Court, Lansbury Park, sometime between Monday July 9 and Saturday July 14. Entry was forced and a silver Sony DVD player and a black Samsung mobile phone were stolen.

In Rhymney, sometime between Monday 9th and Tuesday July 10, a burglary occurred at an insecure address in Tan-y-Bryn. A television was stolen.

Officers do not believe the incidents are linked.

If you have any information, or saw anything suspicious, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
