Win a camera with Get Caerphilly Online photography competition

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:00, Tuesday August 14th, 2012.

A campaign helping people in Caerphilly County Borough get more from the internet has launched a photography competition.

Get Caerphilly Online has launched a search for a single photograph that captures the spirit of Caerphilly County Borough, through its ‘My Caerphilly’ competition.

The places, the people, the environment; Get Caerphilly Online is asking residents to submit a photo that shows what Caerphilly means to them for the chance to win an Olympic edition Panasonic digital camera.

You don’t need to be a photographer to take part, or even have a fancy camera.

Matt Lloyd, from Get Caerphilly Online, said: “We’re just as keen to see blurry shots taken with your phone as we are to look at crisp images from a digital camera. This competition gives people the chance to celebrate their community, while encouraging the development of digital skills and interests within the County Borough.”

The competition is open to all Caerphilly residents, businesses and organisations, and all the entries will be shown on the Get Caerphilly Online website www.getcaerphillyonline.org.uk

To enter, all you need to do is email your entry to photo@getcaerphillyonline.org.uk by Monday, September 10, 2012. If you haven’t got an e-mail address or need more help and information about the competition, please contact Matt Lloyd on 07766 495617.

The Get Caerphilly Online team will be on-hand at community events across the county borough during August, to help residents take part in the competition, get online or simply give information about the public activities run by Get Caerphilly Online.
