Cancer Research Wales charity shop moves

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:00, Friday August 17th, 2012.

An award-winning Caerphilly charity shop will be moving to new premises on Tuesday August 28.

The Cancer Research Wales charity shop is set to reopen at 18 Castle Court Caerphilly; at the site previously occupied by JJB Sports a few doors down from its previous location at 25 Castle Court.

The new shop will sell the same popular combination of stock – including good-quality furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, toys and books – but will be closer to the Morrisons’ car park facility.

Cancer Research Wales is Wales’ national cancer charity, with all the money raised in Wales staying here to fund vital and pioneering research projects and scientists.

Speaking about the move, Cancer Research Wales charity director Liz Andrews said: “The new premises will make it even easier for our customers to donate or shop at the Caerphilly store. It is already one of our most successful stores, which is testament to the wonderful volunteers at the shop, who all work incredibly hard.

“Thanks to them, and the customers who shop and donate in Caerphilly, we can make a real difference to the fight against cancer in Wales.”
