A Cefn Hengoed man has admitted making a racist phonecall to a man living in Huddersfield.
Tyrone Edwards, 45, of Hengoed Avenue, Cefn Hengoed, was fined £110 by magistrates and ordered to pay £100 compensation to his victim.
In addition, Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court also told him to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs when he admitted a charge under the Malicious Communications Act 1988.
The £310 total will be paid in £6 weekly instalments to the court through a deduction of Edwards’ benefits.
Edwards appeared in court on August 16.
