Two men have each been fined £75 for fishing without a licence on River Sirhowy, Pontllanfraith.
Leon Davies, 36, of Oakfield Terrace, Crumlin, and Shaun Davies, 20, of Brynglas Avenue, Pontllanfraith, admitted charges under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.
The men were caught with fishing equipment and without a licence in November last year.
The pair appeared at Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on August 15.
They were each fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharges.
Both were also ordered to pay £100 prosecution costs to Environment Agency Wales.
The two men were allowed to pay off their total of £190 each at a rate of £5 a week starting from August 29.
