Caerphilly County Borough Council has been awarded a prestigious Silver Gilt Award at this year’s Wales in Bloom competition.
Caerphilly town was awarded the Silver award in the Town Category of the awards, having missed out on first place by just one point.
The competition recognises the work of communities and towns who help to make Wales a more attractive place to live, work and visit.
Cllr David Poole, cabinet member for community and leisure services, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Caerphilly and shows that the effort and commitment from all involved has paid off. Through partnership working with the community and local organisations we are able to ensure Caerphilly is an attractive town for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.”
Officers will travel to Rhyl on Friday September 14 to receive their award at the official prize giving ceremony.
