Shoe Zone to open at Castle Court Shopping Centre in Caerphilly

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 16:36, Wednesday September 5th, 2012.

Budget retailer Shoe Zone is to move from its Cardiff Road shop in Caerphilly town to Castle Court Shopping Centre, Caerphilly Observer understands.

The shoe chain has applied for planning permission to erect new shop signs on unit 25 at the shopping centre – the current home of charity shop Cancer Research Wales.

Last month Caerphilly Observer revealed the charity shop was moving down the centre to the site previously occupied by JJB sports.

While there has been no official confirmation of Shoe Zone moving into the unit, the move was not denied by a spokeswoman for the retailer who said she could add no further comment.

According to the website of commercial agents EJ Hales, the 2,018 sq ft retail unit available to rent at £62,500 per annum, is currently under offer.

Caerphilly Observer has contacted Castle Court Shopping Centre and is awaiting a response.
