Engineering firm Howe Engineering Ltd, based in Abercarn, has bought a new piece of equipment with council funding.

The support from the Local Investment Fund has enabled the company to purchase a new CNC Milling Machine.

Kevin Penn, director at Howe Engineering said: “Over the past 30 years we have implemented a programme of continual investment in the business – this funding means that we are now able to expand our customer base”.

Fellow director David Sage added: “We are delighted with all the support that we have received from Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Economic Development team. This new piece of equipment will help us to safeguard our business for the future”.

A spokesperson for Caerphilly County Borough Council said: “We are delighted that we’ve been able to help this local engineering business to strategically develop their business by purchasing this new piece of equipment.”
