The invaluable work of volunteers across Caerphilly County Borough will be celebrated at a special event this week.
Representatives from around 80 voluntary organisations who serve the community will come together and showcase their work at the annual One Beat event on Saturday October 27 at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s headquarters Penallta House.
The event, organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council and GAVO, is open to members of the public and will take place between 11am and 1pm.
The Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough, Cllr Gaynor Oliver, said: “One Beat is one of our most established events and provides a truly wonderful opportunity to celebrate the invaluable work of the voluntary organisations across the county borough who serve our communities so tirelessly.”
Cllr Harry Andrews, leader of the council, added: “The event also symbolises the commitment and partnership that exists in our county borough between statutory bodies like the council, police, fire and health services and the voluntary sector. I would encourage as many people as possible to come along and join us as we celebrate this work.”
