Operation Santa charity appeal 2012 launched

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:00, Wednesday October 31st, 2012.

Caerphilly County Borough Council has launched its annual Operation Santa appeal to help more than 650 local children.

The children are not helped by any other appeal and have been nominated by social workers who work with families across the county borough.

People across the county borough can pledge to buy a toy and choose the age, gender and geographical area of the recipient.

Operation Santa is also pleased once again this year to be helping families who are working with Llamau, Action for Children, Home-Start and Gofal Cymru.

It is easy to get involved – either call the pledge hotline on 01443 866577 or email operationsanta@caerphilly.gov.uk and pledge to buy a present for a child. The pledge hotline will be open until Friday November 23.

Once a pledge is made, that person has to buy the gift and take to one of the collection centres situated across the county borough by Friday December 3

Collection Centres

  • Harper and Wallis, Estate Agent, Hanbury Road, Bargoed.
  • Barclays Bank, Ystrad Mynach.
  • Lloyds TSB Bank, Rhymney.
  • Visit Caerphilly Centre, The Twyn, Caerphilly.
