Thousands of visitors are expected at this year’s spectacular fireworks display in Caerphilly town on Saturday November 3, 2012.

Set against the back drop of Caerphilly Castle the free event starts at 7pm. Over the last 20 years, the firework display has raised thousands of pounds for local charity.

Visitors are advised to get to town early with the best viewing areas being Crescent Road and Dafydd Williams Park.

Crescent Road will be closed to traffic and parking from 5pm until 9pm with no access from Nantgarw Road.

Temporary parking is available at St Ilan’s School on POntygwindy Road.

The event is organised annually by Caerphilly Town Council with support from Aber Valley; Bedwas, Trethomas and Machen; Llanbradach and Pwllypant; Penyrheol, Trecenydd and Energlyn and Van Community Councils.

Caerphilly Lions Club and Velindre Hospital will be collecting on the night and organisers have said no sparklers are allowed.
