Police appeal over vehicle thefts in Rhymney and Bargoed

Police are appealing for information after a series of recent vehicle thefts in Rhymney and Bargoed.

Three vehicles were targeted overnight in Bargoed between Monday December 3 and Tuesday December 4.

  • A black VW Golf was broken into on Henry Street – nothing was stolen.
  • A white Citreon van had its locks tampered with on Ruth Street. No access was gained and nothing was stolen.
  • A Citreon van on Mcdonnell Road was broken into and some tools stolen.

Officers are also appealing for information after a white Mercedes flat bet lorry was broken into on Rhymney Bridge, Rhymney, some time between 6pm on Monday December 3 and 6am on Tuesday December 4.

Various tools were stolen from inside and diesel was drained.
Stolen items include:

  • Tom Tom XL
  • Samsung mobile phone and charger
  • 14v lithium dewalt drill and 10.5v lithium dewalt impact driver with charger in a dewalt bag
  • Spare 14.4v lithium dewalt battery
  • Sets of Milwaukee drill bits
  • 18v makita drill in box with charger
  • Dewalt radio
  • Stanley tool bag
  • Fire extinguisher weighing scales
  • Fire extinguisher pressure gauge.
  • Set of screwdrivers
