The death of a Caerphilly man whose body was found in undergrowth is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Gwent Police officers were called at 4.42pm on Wednesday January 16 following the discovery of a man’s body in Dol Yr Eos, Mornington Meadows, Caerphilly.

Officers and paramedics attended and the man, who has not been named by police, was pronounced dead.

A Gwent Police spokesman said the man’s death was not not being treated as suspicious and the case has been passed to the coroner to investigate. Because the man did not die in suspicious circumstances, his name will not be revealed by police, although they did confirm he was in his 50s and from the Caerphilly town area.
