Caerphilly County Borough Council’s catering team have been named Welsh Catering Management Team of the Year at the Local Authorities Caterers Association Recognition of Excellence Awards.
The award recognises the team’s ability to achieve a high standard of management skill, initiative and commitment, whilst delivering positive results during tough economic times.
Cllr Dave Poole, cabinet member for community and leisure services, said: “This award comes as a result of a remarkable whole team approach, from management to frontline staff, the commitment and effort shown in implementing positive change has been exemplary. The entire team work so hard to ensure that the meals they provide in the borough are healthy, delicious and nutritious and this award is testament to them all.”
