Our announcement that Caerphilly Observer will be producing a tabloid print edition next month has made headlines in Wales and across the industry press.
After making our plans to launch a newspaper public on Tuesday this week, Caerphilly Observer editor Richard Gurner found himself being interview for BBC Radio Wales’ Good Evening Wales programme and BBC1’s Wales Today bulletin.
Alongside the Welsh national media coverage, our plans also made their mark with the trade press.
Richard said: “The response we’ve had since we made our announcement has been nothing short of overwhelming. We’ve already had advert bookings for our first edition, which is encouraging, and I would urge local businesses to get in touch to find out what we can offer them to be part of our historic first edition.
“My email has almost gotten out of control and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing with questions, queries and, most of all, best wishes from our community.
“We’ll be making more important announcements in the coming days and weeks so please keep reading to find out where you can pick-up a print edition of Caerphilly Observer. I can reveal that Thursday May 30, 2013, will be the day our first edition hits the streets.”
Here’s a round-up of our coverage so far:
