Caerphilly’s homeliest café is proving a hit with locals who can’t get enough of its front room hospitality.
The Front Room Café opened in July and its popularity is growing, particularly for Sunday roasts almost in the comfort of your own home.
Cheryl Campbell and her partner Bryn Richards converted their living room into a café with the help of a Caerphilly County Borough Council grant and provide home cooked meals, cake, and coffee in quirky, retro surroundings.
Cheryl said: “I’m originally from Caerphilly but over the years I lived away and noticed a change in the town when I moved back.
“So I came up with the idea to provide something for people and help bring visitors into the town.
“I have regular customers who bring their friends and they say ‘don’t get too busy because this is Caerphilly’s best kept secret’.”
The small café, on Station Terrace, sits 18 people and Cheryl offers healthy breakfasts, traditional lunches and afternoon teas.
