Police are appealing for information after a gang of up to eight men attacked a 19-year-old in Risca by tricking their way into a block of flats.
Between 9.20pm and 9.40pm on Wednesday April 19, it is believed the gang rang the door bells of several flats in the block on Holly Road to get into its communal area.
When a resident opened his door to see what was going on, the gang forced their way in to his porch and assaulted him.
The group then ran to the rear of the property and out of the block.
The 19-year-old flat resident was left bruised from the attack, but did not need hospital treatment.
