Police are appealing for information after two rabbits were stolen from a garden in Maesycwmmer.

Alf and Nancy were taken at around 2am on Sunday June 22 and a cash reward is being offered for information leading to their safe return.

A man in a dark hooded jacket, possibly camouflaged, was seen running away from the theft on Underwood Avenue, escaping in a dark hatchback car.

The man drove away in the direction of Ystrad Mynach.

Owner Nicola Evans said Alf is four-years-old and is in need of medication following an operation. Nancy is two.

Ms Evans said: “I don’t know why they were stolen, they’re not pedigree so they’re not valuable, just sentimentally.”

Anyone with information can call Nicola Evans on 07793 816709 or Gwent Police on 101, quoting reference number 106 22/6/14.
