Man robbed of cash outside Lloyds bank in Rhymney

A man in his 50s was robbed of money he had just withdrawn from a cashpoint at Lloyds Bank in Rhymney.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery which happened on Tuesday July 22 at 9.20am outside the bank in High Street.

The robber is described as being in his early-mid 20s. He was wearing a red baseball cap, grey t-shirt and black jogging bottoms. He is reported to have left the scene in the direction of Goshen Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 149 22/07/14.

  • A 30-year-old man from Rhymney has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in police custody.
