A 16-year-old boy charged with the murder of a Blackwood man has appeared in court.
The teenager is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Michael Lee Emmett, who died on Tuesday, September 2.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday September 26.
The case was adjourned until November 10 at Newport Crown Court.
Mr Emmett died a month after sustaining injuries in an incident on Friday August 1, on Bryn Road and Apollo Way in Blackwood.
His funeral took place in Aberbargoed on Wednesday, October 1.
Public humiliation or the death penalty is favourable in situations like these.
He can destroy a family by killing a man, he can take a father away from his children and a partner away from somebody who loved him dearly, he can commit the most awful act against another human but he can’t be named for legal reasons.
