A blue Ford Fiesta was set on fire outside a garage in Park Road, Bargoed, at around 11.20pm on Saturday September 27.
Police are keen to speak to a teenaged boy who was seen riding a push bike in the area at the time.
The boy, said to be of average build and average height, was wearing a white hooded top. Anyone with any information can call Gwent Police on 101.
