The RSPCA is appealing for information after two cats were found dead.
The charity was contacted by a member of the public after two male black and white cats were found in two separate locations near Woodland Place, Cefn Hengoed on Saturday October 18.
RSPCA inspector Simon Evans said the cats were less than a year old.
She said: “The two cats were found quite close together, around 100 yards or so apart. They had similar injuries, with head trauma being the the most apparent.
“The owner has been found and is obviously very upset about it.
“We are now appealing for information to try and find out what happened.”
Anyone who may have information can contact the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.
