Gwent Police is appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Ystrad Mynach on Tuesday October 7.
It happened at about 5.30pm on the A472 at the junction with Lewis Street near the pedestrian crossing.
The collision involved a 14-year-old boy and a car.
The teen, from Pengam, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil for treatment.
The driver of the car was not injured.
